The Board of Directors has approved a scholarship funding program whereby current members of the Fort Worth AFP may request financial support for the educational needs of themselves or a member of their immediate family. The funding amount for the 2011-2012 year has been set at $5,000 for the program.
The program provides support for part-time educational programs, advanced educational degrees (such as MBA programs), funding for participation in career-enhancing educational programs, support of CTP examination fees and materials, and other educational requests as may be approved by the Board. The President or any other two Board members will review scholarship requests received from the current Fort Worth AFP membership. Scholarship decisions are determined by the Board. If you have any questions concerning the program please contact the Educational Chairperson via the links on the Contact Us webpage.
In order to apply for a scholarship, please click here to download the application. Fill it out, print it, sign it, and mail it to the Fort Worth AFP at the address at the bottom of the Contact Us webpage. All applications must be received by March 31 of the fiscal year you are applying for. Your application will be reviewed and someone from the board will contact you to inform you if and how much education assistance you will receive.
