AFP Learning System: Treasury Instructor-Led Course at Rice University this Spring

 

Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at Rice University offers the AFP Learning System: Treasury Instructor-Led Course. This course is for individuals who want to broaden their knowledge and skills in the area of treasury and cash management and for financial professionals who want to successfully prepare for the AFP's CTP certification exam.

 

This Fall, the class will meet six non-consecutive Saturdays (9/27, 10/11, 10/25, 11/1, 11/15 and 12/6) from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on the Rice University campus.

 

The course is taught by a team of experienced professionals including:
Ken Reagan, CCM, Adjunct Professor of Finance & Accounting at University of Houston-Clear Lake, Karen Slaughter, CTP, Vice President & Product Manager at Amegy Bank, Madeline Sprague, CTP, Vice President and Global Trade Services Officer at JP Morgan Chase, and Scott Vines, CCM, Vice President & Senior Treasury Management Officer at Amegy Bank.

AFP Learning System: Cash Management Fundamentals Course

 

In this introductory course for new cash or treasury management practitioners, participants will gain a basic overview and understanding of treasury management topics with an emphasis on cash management. Each student is challenged to bring at least one new idea bring back to their company to save time, effort or money!

 

The classes typically meet on a Thursday and Friday, September 18-19, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the Rice University Campus. The next course will be offered in Fall 2008. This course is taught by Scott Vines, CCM or Karen Slaughter, CTP and Mike Sultanik, CTP, all of whom have many years of corporate and banking treasury management experience.
